Leading Edge Certification Earned Spring 2014

Hello my name is Kirk Rogers and I teach 7th Grade World History at Hillsdale Middle School in Rancho San Diego, California which is a suburb in eastern San Diego county. Teaching is my second career after college.  I worked in the business field for about ten years and then started in the teaching profession at the age of 30 at Emerald Middle School in El Cajon, California. I taught the Alternative Learning Class, United States History and World History for 23 years before transferring to Hillsdale Middle School in the Fall of 2013. I attended Monte Vista High School: Class of 1977, Grossmont Community College, San Diego State University: Class of 1982, and obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Political Science and a Minor in History, Point Loma Nazarene University: California Teaching Credential 1990 and Azusa Pacific University: Masters in Education 1999, Leading Edge Certification Online/Blended Teacher 2014. I have been married to my wife Carol for 33 years and we have one daughter Abby who is a Senior at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.
