Dear Jamacha Families,

Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Jamacha Elementary! My name is Joy Urtnowski, and I am thrilled to serve as your principal. It is a privilege to join a community that shares my dedication to our district’s vision of raising “Happy Kids, Engaged in Healthy Relationships, on a Path to Gainful Employment.”

My journey in ÐÜèAVÊÓƵ has been diverse and enriching. I have served as a teacher, an administrator, and even owned a small school. As a proud resident of the Rancho San Diego community and a mother to three teenage sons, I am deeply committed to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for all our students.

At the heart of everything we do are the relationships we build. I am looking forward to establishing strong connections with our entire community and getting to know each student’s unique learning styles, strengths, interests, and values. I pride myself on being an advocate for our students and families and celebrating every success, whether big or small, within our school community.
